Social Media Privacy Policy

American Community Bank & Trust joined the social community to hear from our clients. These platforms are all about communication, they are a way for us to keep people up to date with what’s happening at American Community Bank & Trust and American Community Wealth Management—where people can learn, discuss ideas, and converse about any aspect of the bank’s products, services and initiatives with others who have similar interests.

In order to keep our conversations on track and your personal information safe online, we've created a list of some helpful guidelines to remember.

  •  Account help: Please keep in mind this is a public forum and there is only so much we can help you with publicly. If you have an account-specific issue, please contact us directly at 815-338-2300, at info@amcombank.com or contact your banker directly.
  • Protect your identity: Social networks are public. In order to protect the security of your personal and financial information, don’t post anything you wouldn’t share publicly. Never share your social security number, Online Banking information, account numbers, or debit or credit card numbers. We will never ask for any personal information from our customers on our social sites.
  • Communication: We welcome your questions and opinions. While we encourage communication on our social media channels, we ask that you kindly refrain from offensive language or content, personal attacks or being disrespectful of others.
  • Please do not solicit or advertise: This site is intended to support the free exchange of ideas and to enhance the financial IQ of members. Solicitations and personal promotion add clutter and detract from the conversation.
  • No spamming: Posting the same note more than once does not add value. Should something be deleted from our community, please do not repost.
  • Keep it legal: When engaging with our social media channels, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and use these communities for lawful purposes only. Don’t post content unless you’re the creator. In order to keep our conversations on track and your personal information safe online, we’ve created a list of some helpful guidelines to remember.
  • No cyber-stalking: Behavior deemed to be stalking or threatening by nature may be reported to the authorities.
  • Criticizing our competition: If you have a problem with another bank, please let them know. We will remove any criticism that is posted.
  • Children: Due to federal law, we cannot accept comments from individuals under the age of 13.
  • Endorsements: ACBT does not endorse any comments made by its employees unless they are an authorized representative of the bank. All unofficial statements and viewpoints expressed in the comments are strictly those of the commenter alone.
  • Consider the privacy of our colleagues: We know our customers have great relationships with their bankers and locations, and we encourage you to give “shout-outs” if one is due. We do our best to provide our clients with excellent service. If you feel we’re not, we hope you will contact us directly to talk about it. Please respect the privacy of our employees—and hold back from posting any personally identifiable information about them.
